Training Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you book a training course with Judd & Judd Limited, trading as Judd Water & Wastewater Consultants ("we", "us", "our").

They form a business-to-business contract between us and the organisation booking the training ("you", "Client").

These terms apply to both in-person and online training.

2. Our training courses

We provide bespoke training to organisations for groups of delegates, delivered:

  • at your premises or another agreed location, or
  • online.

We do not run open public courses.

3. Course content

Our website provides general outlines of course topics.

The final course content, format and duration will be agreed with you in advance.

We may make reasonable changes to the content where necessary due to time constraints or circumstances beyond our control, provided these do not materially reduce the quality of the training.

Training materials and certificates of attendance may be provided where agreed.

4. Booking and contract

A booking is confirmed, and a binding contract formed, when you confirm by email that you wish to proceed at the agreed price.

Any quotation we provide is valid for the period stated and is not binding until confirmed.

5. Fees and payment

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • we will invoice you after the training event
  • invoices will be issued in GBP, EUR or USD as agreed, and
  • payment is due within 28 days of the invoice date by BACS transfer.

Failure to pay within 28 days constitutes a breach of contract.

6. Cancellation by you

You may cancel a training event by email to [email protected].

  • More than 7 days before the event:
You may cancel and receive a refund, less any reasonable costs already incurred (such as travel or accommodation).

  • 7 days or fewer before the event:
Cancellation is not permitted and no refund will be payable.

These terms apply to both in-person and online training.

7. Cancellation or changes by us

We may cancel or reschedule a training event due to circumstances beyond our control (for example illness or emergencies).

Where possible, we will notify you in advance and discuss rescheduling.

If we cancel and you have already paid, you may request a full refund.

We are not liable for any costs you incur in connection with the training event (including travel, accommodation or subsistence).

8. Online training (MS Teams)

Online training is delivered using Microsoft Teams.

You are responsible for ensuring that you and your delegates have working access to Teams at least 7 days before the training event.

We are not responsible for:

  • your inability to access Teams, or
  • failures of the Teams platform outside our control.

Joining instructions will be provided in advance.

9. Client responsibilities (in-person training)

For in-person training, you are responsible for:

  • providing a suitable venue, equipment and facilities
  • ensuring delegates attend on time and are fit to participate, and
  • complying with applicable health and safety requirements.

10. Delegate conduct

Delegates must behave professionally and respectfully.

You must not:

  • behave in a threatening, abusive, discriminatory or disruptive manner
  • record any part of the training without our written permission, or
  • collect or use other delegates' details for marketing purposes.

We may exclude any delegate who breaches these rules. No refund will be given.

11. Data protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We use delegate information only for delivering training and related administration and do not use it for marketing purposes.

12. Intellectual property

All training materials are owned by Judd & Judd Limited.

You may use the materials internally within your organisation only.

You must not copy, share, record or distribute the materials outside your organisation without our written consent.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fee paid for the training event.

We are not liable for:

  • loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill
  • loss of data or business opportunity, or
  • any indirect or consequential loss.

Training is provided for general information and professional development and does not constitute advice.

14. Force majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including extreme weather, strikes, pandemics or government action.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
